Biographical info Name: Paul Lessenius Kramp Born: 28 January 1887; Died: 13 July 1975 PhD: Major Accomplishments: Kramp published extensively on the taxonomy of the Hydromedusae, but also made valuable contributions toward the taxonomy and biogeography of the Scyphozoa, as well as occasional notes on the Cubozoa. He spent his career as the Curator of Cnidaria at the Zoologisk Museum, København. He worked on some of the great expeditions, such as the Galathea Expedition and the Great Barrier Reef Expedition. Among his many publications, he wrote the "bible" of medusa identification, his 1961 "Synopsis of the Medusae of the World".
